E-lert from HSLDA! — Homeschoolers Interrogated by Secret Police!
I haven’t read it yet, because I just got it and I’m on my way out the door for orange juice and other stuff, but I don’t want to leave without passing this breaking news on to my peeps because, even though homeschooling e-lerts don’t really apply to me anymore, a bunch of you may be in danger and you may want to hurry up and join HSLDA to protect yourselves and your children!!

Aww man…no link. Do I actually have to go to their website to see this inevitable bs? …..
Yeah, good idea, YOU go and then report back for the rest of us! :)
Groan….
Botswana.
Really??
Why? How can any of us in the US be lumped in with homeschoolers in BOTSWANA like the Secret Police are a worldwide organization looking to force unwitting Americans into !GASP! public education! The horrors!
Thank Loki that they’ve alerted us to this frightening travesty of justice.
In other news, membership renewals at HSLDA are running 5% behind last year’s pace. There is nothing like the specter of the Secret Police to get a fundie to open his wallet.
I’m just sitting here. Smirking.
Thanks for the foot work, Michelle! :D
Your comment got me thinking about our Kenyan president. Do you think he’s sneakin’ his African people’s Secret Police to the U.S. – and the white Christians at HSLDA have caught wind of his devious scheme??
Sooo, Botswana is off the list for retirement havens since Daughter will still be home schooling then. Hmm, guess I’d better check Estonia’s home schooling laws.
Thanks for the heads-up, Lynn. Saved me a fortune in tse-tse fly repellent and sunscreen. Although I’ll probably spend as much on frostbite remedies and public transportation in Estonia.
So the good news is that HSLDA membership numbers are down? Excellent!
