Earlier, in conversation about the geese that God sent to fly over Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor Rally,” JJ commented, “How about a flock of mama grizzly bears dressed all in white, sobbing penitent man-tears for their country?”  She dared me to photoshop what that might look like.  I thought about it… and thought about it some more, about how I’d portray white mama bears flying in V-formation while crying.  And, do mama bears even cry?  They don’t seem like the crying type.  Anyway, as I brainstormed, I happened to glance at a photograph of the crowd at the rally – and notice an unusual splotch of white.  Curious, I made a digital copy of the photograph and circled the mysterious spot in red pixels (see below).

Then I zoomed in on that area. 

Then enlarged it some more.  

Then more.  

Finally, fuzzy, but recognizable shapes began to appear. 

I tried improving the resolution. 

Which was hard because I’m hardly an expert. 

But I kept at it. 

Kept working. 

… 

… 

Oh My Gawd!

They were there!  The white mama bears!  Just like JJ described.  

Except for the crying part.  Probably because mama bears don’t cry.  They lock and load.
