Here at my blog, I skewer religion on a regular basis and even take occasional swipes at homeschooling, but can I post an Onion satire about adults and children’s book series about adolescent wizards or love-struck, teen vampires and live to talk about it?

As an atheist – and former Christian homeschooling parent – I blog (mostly) about the social-political aspects of religious fundamentalism, especially as it impacts the education and socialization of children.

You’re right. Just a subset. Haughty, Bitter List-style homeschool apologetics also winds me up and gets me going. :)
Actually, my daughter’s award-winning, “California Distinguished” public school has been a disappointment and, without a doubt, she was getting a better education at home. If only I were a “first-time obedience,” rod-wielding mom, I’d get my way more often.
