About me
As an atheist – and former Christian homeschooling parent – I blog (mostly) about the social-political aspects of religious fundamentalism, especially as it impacts the education and socialization of children.

Well, a few misread texts and one or two false assumptions, but overall: Right on!
Which is why I laugh every time someone hands me a books or talks about the “Biblical method” of dating/courtship [smile].

I just started reading, The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible. The author seems to have added “as Possible” after reading verses like Matthew 19:12 (about making yourself a eunuch for the sake of the kingdom). He also didn’t want to “kill magicians,” though he does “stone adulterers,” according to teases. I’m only through the Intro but, so far, it’s very funny and not at all mean-spirited. You might enjoy it.
I’ve heard about it and just haven’t picked it up yet.
Let me know how it goes. From what I’ve read of it, I would enjoy it [smile].
