I have been reading that PZ Myers of Pharyngula is trying to win an iPod Touch from creationist Eric Hovind, which lots of us agree would be pretty funny.
If you’ve got a website or a blog you can easily tell your visitors about Creation Minute. Simply get your own personal link. Each visitor that clicks your personal link will be counted.
Then it dawned on me: Dang! I wouldn’t mind an iPod Touch. Normally, I could never hope to compete with PZ in the popularity arena, but, after reading comments on his post, I noticed that some of his readers won’t go to Hovind’s site for fear of sullying their computers. Are creationist cooties like viruses that can be spread? I don’t tend to think so. In fact, I’m almost sure about it. You can rest pretty much assured that you should probably be perfectly fine if you decide to go over there to cast a vote for me winning an iPod Touch.
Bonus: While you’re there, click the video and learn about the “Evolutionary Formula” (I’ll bet donuts to dinos that the “formula” is a fact and not just a theory, so you’ll want to listen extra carefully).
Evolutionary Formula: Nothing + Time = Everything
The video takes only 60 seconds and shows an explosion!

I voted for you. But I did not watch the video because I am afraid of creationist cooties. :)

Thank you, thank you ! :D
I’m too afraid of young earth creationists. They scare me with their people-on-dinosaurs museum. Apparently God can do ANYTHING! Except create over a long period of time. Who knew?
I’m happy to vote for you, and watch the video [smile].
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of media production there. Christian media–and I’m lumping “creationist media” into that group too, just for general ease of communication–tends to be pretty terrible. So I’m happy to see them using some higher tech production values. Keep it up, guys!
I like how they slipped in the little bit about the Hovinds being homeschooled. [sheesh]

Oh, Luke, Luke. What am I going to do with you? :)
Though the content looks familiar, I agree that the technical quality of creationist media is evolving… Actually, do you think we’ll ever see a great “frog in a blender” simulation? Because that would be AWESOME!
“Will it blend?”
Yes!
[laughing]

OMG! My new favorite website. The dancing princesses are the best!
