About me
As an atheist – and former Christian homeschooling parent – I blog (mostly) about the social-political aspects of religious fundamentalism, especially as it impacts the education and socialization of children.

Somehow I’m not shocked. A recent Texan commenter on my blog told me I was a “stupid, clouded, Democrat” and that I should move to California. He also criticized me for coming at him from “an intellect perspective”. I guess that’s not fair when talking to a Republican.
Curiously, he claimed to have a doctorate in Anthropology. Why do I always end up in fights with Anthropologists?
Ah well, I think most people in Texas are decent and capable of coherent thought. But man, some of them are scary.
Yeah, I hate it when people come at me with an intellect perspective! [laughing]
A “stupid, clouded, Democrat”? Somehow I missed that exchange on your blog. He should really anthropologize to you :) Get it??? Anthropol…
anyway,
I think most people in Texas are decent and capable of coherent thought.
Good point. I guess a better way to look at the story is that 77% of Texans DON’T believe that Obama is a muslim! (Um,… I’m pretty sure it’s 77%… You might want to have Gunnar and Soren check my math.)
77% of us don’t … for what it’s worth :(
