I don’t know how I wound up at this particular homeschool mom’s blog tonight; less than an hour ago, I passed numerous ”Yes on 8″ goons standing streetside with signs – laughing, smiling, waving to passing motorists – and I was in no mood to hear this Good Christian mom’s nonsense about “protecting marriage.”
By the time I left, after reading this comment in particular, my mood had improved.
I’m a CHRISTIAN and I’m voting NO on 8.
Why?
Because it seems that all the funding has come from false Christian groups like ROMAN CATHOLICS and “MORMONS” both of whom are idolaters (worshiping Men, Mary, beads, little statues of saints, etc).
IDOLATRY is a worse sin. Voting yes on 8 supports idolatry.

This is priceless . . .
I thought so, too :)
Lynn, here’s a long post with religious-tradition links that makes the case we need to teach our children there’s no place for bullying and hate speech in our political discourse. Good stuff right up your alley . . .
“If we wouldn’t let out kids say it”
Also at the blogher site: Hanging effigies is wrong whether it’s sarah palin or barack obama”
I’m looking for ways to respond to the hate-speech evangelicals this weekend, without betraying Obama’s no-drama conciliation. Maybe you will find some good ways to join me, put these heartfelt and highly moral feminine and feminist admonitions to good use? (While laughing merrily, of course, which is good too!)

Thanks for the links, JJ.
So far, I’ve read “If we wouldn’t let our kids say it”; but, there are about 30 “Yes on 8″ idiot protesters at the end of my street, as I speak, so I’m not feeling particularly generous – or mature, to be perfectly honest. You may have to do polite political discourse without me this time :]
I look forward to reading the other 2 articles.
In truth, I lost my patience with this nonsense about the same time you did this afternoon. Let me at ‘em . . .
