What’s a Christian Teen Culture Warrior to do on a free weekend? Protest immorality and all things vile, perhaps, by attending an explosively popular Teen Mania Battlecry rally, one of which is being held in San Francisco this weekend and expected to draw more than 20,000 participants.
Responding to criticism of his choice of San Francisco for this weekend’s rally, Ron Luce, founder of Teen Mania and Battlecry organizer had this to say, “The Bible teaches us homosexuality’s harmful and is a sin, period… There’s lots of documentation that homosexuals have shorter life spans, and are more prone to suicide and depression, so it’s not very loving of us to let them stay in that situation.”
Interesting choice of words, I thought. Kinda jumped out at me. “It’s not very loving of us to let them…” Probably just a slip of the tongue.
