Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins (Left Behind book series) describe what may happen to non-believers – and horses! – when Jesus returns:
Men and women, soldiers and horses seemed to explode where they stood… as if the very words of the Lord had superheated their blood, causing it to burst through their veins and skin… their own flesh dissolved, their eyes melted, their tongues disintegrated.
