I don’t really get the popularity of blogging, to be honest. Why do so many people consider writing blogs to be, well, a good use of time. Keeping a chronicle of my days would just bore me to tears, I would think. The term “excruciating minutia” comes to mind. From a Seinfeld episode in which Elaine, in a moment of frustrated lucidity, complains of having wasted so much of her life “pouring over the excrutiating minutia of every single daily event.” Yet, I hesitate to dismiss and discard the idea of blogging without exploring it more fully. Are there worthwhile discoveries to be made in dissecting daily events? Or, will pouring over the excruciating minutia of my life bore me to tears? I guess we’ll see.
